This is so wonderful. I love the stylized, formal feel of it. It feels very old world, where the artists try to get all the details so real and clear that it supercedes nature, becomes hightened realism. And the colors! Outstanding. I think had you tried to soften the hills to make them look less 'artificial' you would have lost the tonal balance of the piece. You get my full marks, and I look forward to seeing more of your stuff.

Awww, what happened to the kitty? I think you’ve added some more texture to the hills, which looks very nice, but I don’t have the original picture right now so I don’t know if I’m right… anyway, great pic, nice to see it in your gallery again.

I like the landscape a lot, and also the dragon's wings. This is a fun picture. My suggestion would be to make a more dynamic pose next time, eg, don't have the head in total profile, have the appendages tucked up closer to the body like a bird, and maybe have the whole body twisting one way or the other. Also, I think the scales (especially on the main body) are too big.

Almost everything's great about this picture- the clouds, the wings, the scales, the dragon's face, the stylized black claws, the landscape, the sheeeeeeeeep, the atmosphere.

The only things that bother me- the dragon's body-pose looks too flat, like a heraldric shield design almost. That might be intentional, but it looks wrong with all the depth in the rest of the painting.

The other thing that bothers me is the bulky arm of his wing... take a look at a bat's wing, most of the wing muscles are in the chest, making for relatively slender arms... maybe a larger animal would need wings like weightlifter arms, but if so, the muscles should at least be in the right places- use reference of a human's arm in a similar position to make it look more convincing.

Other than that, it's one of the nicest pictures of a flying dragon I've seen. Even if the dragon is dangerous, the scene is somehow idyllic... and idyllic in a grandiose manner, which I would have thought impossible if I hadn't seen it.
